About Anchor 1

About Robyn.

As I approach 15 years on the bench in Ramsey County, I look forward to continuing this journey. I am running for reelection this fall so that I can keep serving the interests of justice with integrity, experience, and compassion.

Judge Robyn Millenacker is a native of Rochester, Minnesota, where she graduated from John Marshall High School.  She attended the University of Minnesota, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in History in 1985.  While attending the University of Minnesota Law School, she made the Dean’s List all three years, graduating cum laude in 1988.

Judge Millenacker returned to her Minnesota roots in 1996, when she transferred to the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney in Minnesota.  Prosecuting narcotics and weapons crimes, she kept our streets safe by successfully trying cases in federal courts at all levels.  Eventually moving to the position of Affirmative Civil Enforcement Coordinator, Judge Millenacker was part of the team that brought Thomas Petters to trial and protected the assets of defrauded investors.

She was appointed to the bench in 2010.  In announcing her appointment, Governor Pawlenty remarked on her strong background: “Robyn has distinguished herself as a civil prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s office.  Her diverse professional background and strong intellect will be an asset to a bench that has a high volume of complex cases.”  Since her appointment, she has handled a full load of criminal cases.
